On Perceiving Truth and the Deceit of Memory

“Ic wāt tō geseon þā soþfæstnysse, is hit ǣr on minum mōde þæt ic geseah?”
“Dǣm þā myne ægȳn beswican, oþþe ic geseo clǣrre?”

I know to see the truth, is it already in my mind that I saw?
Shall I then deceive my memory, or shall I see clearer?
