On the Lord's Prayer

I INTEND to go over the Lord's Prayer ; and, to make way for it, I
shall speak a little of these foregoing verses, wherein our Lord treats
of the duty of prayer, and the necessity of being much therein.

Ic wilnað to forþferian ofer þone Drihtnes fæstnet; and, to wyrcan weg for hit, ic
sceal sprecen lytel be þissum foregenga versum, þær ure Drihten ymbe þeodscype gebed, and þe ænnessa of micclum beoð.
