The Shepherd
What dost thou say, shepherd? Hast thou led the flock?
Verily, I have led many a flock! On yonder hill I drive them
shepherd to pasture. Then do I stand over them with dogs, that they may
prevent the wolves from devouring them. Canst thou hear me on high yelling to their
folds? I call twice in a day. I make butter and cheese. And
I am much lordly of my herds.

O oxherd, what dost thou?
Lest it be known, I toil greatly! When the herder drives the oxen apart,
Then do I shout at them to pasture; and all night do I stand over them,
waking for the beasts; and at dawn again do I drive them,
dull herding, well fed and watered.
